چکیده
Noble metal nanoparticles with plasmon resonance features have been widely applied in electrocatalysis and photo-electrochemistry owing to their unique physical, optical, catalytic properties. As heterogeneity of nanostructures has considerable influence on activities, investigation electrochemical process a single nano-catalyst is necessary eliminate bulk effect averaged results. Dark-field microscopy (DFM) enables the measurements scattering spectroscopy nanoparticle. Integrating electrochemistry, DFM provides powerful tool real-time monitor reactions at nanoscale surface get new insight into reaction mechanism. Herein, this mini-review presented impressive applications single-nanoparticle electrochemistry discussed recent progress its performance enhanced sensitivity resolution.

Electrochemistry of Single Nanoparticles via Electrocatalytic Amplification
I m honored to have this special issue dedicated to the 2008 Wolf Prize in Chemistry, and I thought it would be appropriate to submit a paper on a topic related to the work mentioned for that award, i. e. , single molecule detection. The possibility of observing and studying single molecules or individual nm-size particles is a rather recent one (barely 20 years old), but one of immense importa...

The electromagnetic (EM) coupling between metal nanoparticles (NPs) is of essential importance in nanoplasmonic systems, leading to a variety of fundamental studies and practical applications. The successive investigations in this field not only bring forward surprising optical effects in nanoplasmonics, but also allow revealing other novel chemical/physical properties in relevant systems. In t...

Individual Ni(OH)2 nanoparticles deposited on carbon nanoelectrodes are investigated in non-ensemble measurements with respect to their energy storage properties and electrocatalysis for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Charging by oxidation of Ni(OH)2 is limited by the diffusion of protons into the particle bulk and the OER activity is independent of the particle size.

Metallic nanoparticles can exhibit very large optical extinction in the visible spectrum due to localized surface plasmon resonance. Spherical plasmonic nanoparticles have been the subject of numerous studies in recent years due to the fact that the scattering response of spheres can be analytically evaluated using Mie theory. However a major disadvantage of metallic spherical nanoparticles is ...
متن کاملPlasmonic imaging of electrochemical oxidation of single nanoparticles.
Measuring electrochemical activities of nanomaterials is critical for creating novel catalysts, for developing ultrasensitive sensors, and for understanding fundamental nanoelectrochemistry. However, traditional electrochemical methods measure a large number of nanoparticles, which wash out the properties of individual nanoparticles. We report here a study of transient electrochemical oxidation...
